Self drilling screws for fixing to light steel section 

Light section self drilling screws have deeper threads with wider gaps between them in order to get a better grip and secure fixing. Light section self drilling screws are available with EPDM washers, hex flange head and countersunk head types.  

Self drilling screws for fixing to heavy steel section 

Unlike light section screws heavy steel section self drilling screws have smaller and finer threads so that it can self-tap and get a good grip into the thick steel you maybe fixing to. Again, these screws are also available with hex flange head, EPDM washers and countersunk head types.
